Job Description
Required Senior Network Engineer
JOB PURPOSE / ROLE:
• Candidate should possess hands-on experience on Cisco ACI and Transmission data center inter connect.
• He will be responsible to support, implement, troubleshoot, maintain and document network operation manual and activities.
• He will play an active role in day-to-day network operations, capacity management, resilience.
• He will adopt industries best practices and technologies required for Enterprise network environments.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Effectively manages and develops network and infrastructure services in support of the strategic and operational business requirements of the Client and its customers.
• Ensures the security and optimum performance of the network and infrastructure services.
Operational:
• Configuration, maintenance and support of network solutions in Offices, Data Centers and external projects of the company;
• Configuration and maintenance of network equipment such as Switches, Routers, Firewalls and Load Balancers.
• Coordinate with multiple projects teams;
• Optimization of network infrastructure;
• Documentation of network topologies and changes;
• Troubleshooting of networking issues, root cause analysis;
• Preparation and coordination of technical tasks, maintenance of project documentation;
• Design & supervise the allocation, commissioning /decommissioning of Brokers’ network.
• Promote decommissioning of inefficient solutions.
• Implement and manage disaster recovery and back-up.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.
• Recommend information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating
organization outcomes; identifying problems; evaluating trends; anticipating requirements.
• Assign & track all infrastructure related requests to comply with SLA/OLA
• Plan and Execute DR tests as required by the business.
• Maintain and support all network systems and related infrastructure to agreed standards / service level agreements.
• Install and configure new network component and software.
• Coordinate with third party like Akamai, Google etc to provision subscribed services.
Monitoring, Alerting & Reporting
• Monitor & report infrastructure performance on a timely basis.
• Perform routine audits of network systems and their software.
• Monitor the compliance to the enterprise’s security policies.
• Monitor and report incidents to IT Security
• Monitor and ensure availability of IT infrastructure.
• Monitor IPsec and Brokers’ connectivity.
• Monitor BGP on both internet & WAN segments
• Reviews and responds to out of hours critical text alerts as required.
Documentation
• Document systems configuration, and resolutions.
• Create and maintain policies for users, systems and network related applications.
• Create and maintain DR procedures.
• Review and Update ISMS procedures on yearly basis.
ǪUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS:
Eligibility Criteria:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related discipline.
Certifications:
• CCIE R&S/ Data Center/ Service provider
• CCNP Security
• Certified Advanced Networking for Cloud.
Minimum Experience:
• 15+ years of experience in IT Networks within capital markets or banking industry or financial institution; preferably within an exchange.
• Cisco ACI expertise – 2 years minimum experience.
• Transmission systems expertise such as Adva, Alcatel, Lucent, Ciena.
Skills:
• Knowledge of DWDM, CWDM, link Power budget calculation.
• Knowledge of Multiplexing of different services over Muxponders.
• Knowledge of ACI architectures, including single site, multi-pod, multi-site.
• Knowledge of ACI components (Tenant, BD, VRF, APIC, L2out and L3out), Nexus DC technologies such as vPC, VXLAN.
• Functional level knowledge of implementing ACI using infrastructure as code and automation tools (Rest API, Ansible).
• Strong working knowledge in switching and routing domains: STP, VLAN, 802.1x, IPv6, LACP, Stacking, VRF, PBR, GRE, HSRP, secured VTI, OSPF, ISIS, BGP(iBGP, eBGP, MP-BGP), NAT, IPSec, ACL;
• Hands on experience in Cisco Enterprise\Data Center Switches, Cisco Router ISR\ASR, Cisco ASA\Firepower\FTD\FPMC, FortiNet\WEB, CISCO\FortiNet\F5 Virtual Appliance.
• Knowledge of the principles of operation and configuration Data Center Spine-and-Leaf Architecture.
• Good/Advanced level of *nix operating systems;
• Knowledge of Bash, Python, Go scripting, etc;
• Knowledge of Cloud/Virtualization Technologies: KVM, OpenStack, ESXi;
• Comprehensive hands-on skills in configuration and troubleshooting of networking environment.
• Responsible and Self-motivating attitude.
• High educability and systems thinking
• Exposure to ITIL, Project Management, CISSP
• In-depth knowledge of computer networking and security
• Excellent in working with all network & security devices from different vendors.
• Excellent working knowledge of Windows Server, Linux Server, Virtualization platform like Hyper-V, ESXi.
• Excellent in Firewalls, Routers, Core Switches, WAF’s, AD, DNS, IPsec.
• Experience of working in complex, high pressured environments.
• Good understanding of Cloud and mobile technology.
• Excellent oral, written and presentation communication skill.
